Subject: RE: Thinking about a track skid loader

south west iowa
We have 2 track loaders and 1 wheel loader. I can't see that much difference in the snow for what we do with them. But the track is better in the mud but in the winter you have to dig out the tracks every night or they will freeze up. It freezes up around the big drive gear. We have a LB White heater that runs on LP gas and a generator that we can use for power when there is none there. It only takes about 10 min to get them free with the heater if they are not to bad. The first time think it took an hour to get them free when we had not cleaned them up at all. And the tracks don't last as long as tires but we would not buy another wheel loader.
