Subject: Thinking about a track skid loader

SE SD
Currently have a Bobcat 185, great machine but not enough tire for mud. I know I've heard the stories about tracks freezing up but is that only if you've been in pure slop? It stays at my other farm to feed cows everyday and can't get it in a heated shop. Also I've heard they aren't good for snow removal. I only use the skid to clean out small yards with a 7 ft snow bucket so the big loaders can get in. Would it work for that? Just thinking how nice it would crawl up on bedding packs to put straw down and also float across muddy areas. I put a lot of hours on a new Cat 259D on tracks on a dirt crew for a day job and was amazed at where you could go and not leave a track. I can't get any bigger machine than that or I can't get in some doorways. Have a 68 inch bucket on my Bobcat.

I'm not really interested in putting over the tire tracks on mine though. I've heard mud pushes through the tracks and causes problems too. Thanks for the input
