Subject: Update

Northeast Iowa
Wife has been complaining about the seriousness of the situation and her floor superiors have been taking things pretty lightly. One has just returned to work from a multi state vacation. After her floor being designated the Coronavirus floor earlier this week, they have a handful of patients awaiting test results. New tests come back with 24 hours, which they are using now. Wife had a patient all day yesterday that was having some issues, but she couldn't get a mask and other equipment for that patient because it wasnt a confirmed or likely case at the time. Overnight, something changed and have they tested the new patient. (Exposure to another positive case maybe, respiratory failure? Idk)

Doctors have been on the floor giving chewings to my wife's bosses for mishandling the situation all around. Masks now required in all rooms, maybe even in the halls. For now there simply wasn't enough and some poor planning of the floor manager they have just ordered more this morning.

Good news is now the hospital is "exploring" a hazard pay.

My wife will know tomorrow morning if she needs to get a Covid19 test from hanging around a potentially misdiagnosed patient all day yesterday.
