I think giving out raises is about the last thing most companies or hospitals are considering right now. It would probably go over like a lead balloon. Being a nurse she's always been involved in taking care of sick people and virus and pandemic are just part of the gig. She could certainly quit the job right now and come back later after the aftermath. I'm sure nurses will still be in demand. I know that after being at work yesterday the mood was not about asking for any kind of benefit increases. Most of us will be lucky to still be working in the next weeks, month etc. If the risk reward ratio is too high she needs to move on. Is a few thousand more dollars going to help in the long run?
