| Seems to me like everyone has mixed results with yield gained by using a pop-up fertilizer at planting. I am not talking about 2x2 with a bunch of nitrogen. More interested in in-furrow stuff with a micronutrient load, PGR, bio, etc. My question is: Even if the yield with pop-up vs untreated were the same, do you see that you could justify spending the money on pop up due to drier corn at harvest? I found one university study from Purdue that claimed up to 1.7% drier than an untreated check. I'd like to know the group's real-world experience. Also, I know a lot of other factors play in to the effectiveness of pop-up. So, if you can, share a little about tillage/no tillage practices, nitrogen program, etc. Thanks! | |
