Why is storage a problem?

Grew some oats last year for the first time in 15 years. They did well. Net profit per acre is way higher than anything else that I grew blew away canola, barley. My question is why no one around here grows them its wheat canola peas and a little barley but fields of oats are few and far between. The main problem I see is storage. Been rotating through hay ground so wild oats are non existent which may be why no one grows them.

Canola 40 bu/ac barley 80 bu / ac wheat 60 bu/ ac Oats last year was 130 bu/ac (by volume) If I replace canola or barley acres with outs I need to double my bin space cause I am already short. and can't sell much if any during harvest
