Let’s address some of your points.
#1 an employee will position the truck. What if that person had a bad day and decides to route it into a school building or the wrong way on a freeway, for instance?
#2 winter time. I hope to hell all these fancy sensors work better than the distance sensors on my pickup. First sign of snow or sleet and they don’t work.
#3 all computers fail eventually, ALL OF THEM.

I could see driver assisted vehicles possibly, but totally autonomous isn’t something I want to see on the road. Especially with 80,000# on board
