I do like to go at a slight angle if closer to planting. Soil seems to work nicer after going at an angle with nh3. Also if ya put all your fertilizer right there by the plant the roots don’t need to branch out to get to the nitrogen. Just a theory but I think there’s some sense to making the plants work to develop better root system. Maybe it doesn’t matter either way I don’t know
