Subject: why anhydrous at an angle?

East Central, Nebraska
it seemed to me before guidance I personally would put on anhydrous at an angle to reduce chances of burning my straight rows. if there was going to be a problem it would only hit a plant or two in many if I put the fertilizer on at an angle. straight with a row there was a pretty good chance if it was going to burn the seedling it would burn a lot of them. now I have not personally seen nh3 burn on my farm from strip tilling nh3 I have seen neighbors that apparently didn't go very deep have problems or strips across the field. I cant figure out why with rtk now a person wouldn't go straight with the row and get off the nh3 strip a few inches. I still see people with rtk equipped tractors going at an angle. am I missing something? I have a couple hundred acres of seed corn this year and the seed corn agronomist requested that I go at an angle. I guess I don't get it.
