SSD's are wonderful. I've had a 1TB SSD on my Macbook Pro since 2013. Makes it impervious to disk crashes, it boots much faster, etc. My Aero 15 has a 512GB SSD and it's reasonably fast.

I'll never go back to a spinning disc or even a hybrid SSD/spinning disc setup.
