Nw Iowa | What we have done is take a 8in auger that we just make up with 1 end with exposed flighting so it will chew thru any chunks. We usually just take a piece of downspout, put a drive and bearing on one end and make a motor mount and cut a piece of flighting that sticks out about 6” past end of downspout. Usally try and cut a hole in the door Steady it in the hole with a tractor loader and start motor on the auger and it will go right in easy. It makes a mess but pretty quick. If you have room just leave loader on to keep motor steady. If you get it in 15’ or so you will take a lot of pressure off the bin and unload it to the bottom much faster and easier than a vac. We haven't had to do it for years but last summer had a problem bin. I really like sidedraws on a bin as any wet spots from snow or a leaky vent will usally go out and than when you start auger everything is good.
