-North Mo | Looking at buying something to help reduce feed cost as I purchase most all harvested feed to winter commercial cows. Try to graze/stockpile as much as possible but seems mud/soft winters has reduced me to feeding approx. 100 days a year, or approx. 400 bales unrolled.
Prefer to feed on the ground but may feed some in bottomless bunks if mud forces me to buy rock.
Do I need a bale processor or grinder?
What is the difference in the ones which appears to be a large tub rotating while knifes chew it off the bottom ( Hesston BP25) and the ones which appears the sides to squeeze inward while a rotating drum strips material from bottom (Fair 7825)
or appears to be a combination of both processor and grinder (DEGELMAN 3100)
Realize some actually grind material, some use flail knifes to strip hay, others a vertical screw with knifes - not sure what I need for my basic application - 100 hp tractor.
Thanks for all inputs
