Extreme SE Nebraska | I use a BF5000 chainless bale feeder. It unrolls big round baled hydraulically. Use a MF596 running engine at 1000 rpm. Have used it for 5 years now feeding 250 - 300 bales/year. I am guessing 25% savings on waste. I do feed brome grass mainly but have fed alfalfa. Works well for both. I started by putting in windrow. Changed to making little piles as it seemed to waste less. All cows eat and I spread the manure out. | |
