Debatable......Do you farm/ranch full time or do you have a full time job? If a full time job, what are your hours(you don't have to say, more rhetorical) if you only have weekends, that may put you in a crunch for time. I have no clue what your weather is or your cycles, but even if you had to pay $30-35 a bale....that honestly might still be more affordable, plus you still have your extra time available. A little supplement will go a long ways. Not too often is there "perfect" haying conditions. I don't know of anybody that tried to put up poor hay, but sometimes you HAVE to sacrifice it to beat weather or other conditions approaching.
