I put up hay for 100 head of cows and background the calves with an $800 macdon hydraswing, an $800 New Holland 256 rake and a $3500 Vermeer 695 Super J baler. I could have bought the baler cheaper on auction, but I was buying a replacement on an insurance deal after I rolled my old one.
