Cen IL | Have a grasshopper with 52" mulching rear discharge deck. It takes a lot more HP to run this deck than a side discharge. Came from the factory with a 20 HP koehler, and when that motor puked, I put in a 27 HP Koehler. It now has enough power to handle the deck. The engine likes to suck in the clippings, so regular blow gun cleanings are necessary. Would rather have a side discharge deck. | |
