My digital TV hasn't ever found channel 5. It doesn't show channel 50 either. My digital to analog converters that I use with a VCR and analog TV show channels 5-1 to 5-4 when they find them. Those are intermittent. They don't admit to the Rf channel being 50. FCC files for WOI TV says virtual channel 5, Rf channel 50. FCC files for channels 8, 11, and 13 do show the RF channel the same as the virtual channel.

I wish when the TV stations made the switch to digital they would had all went to UHF. Frustrating you must have dual band to get all the locals here.
I can receive UHF signals 63 miles away using a 8 Bow tie antenna (UHF only) located in the attic with much better quality than VHF signal 20 miles away.
