| I looked at those charts. Grain farmers produce the raw product that feeds protein and creates sugar. Vegetables and such are not "food" drivers they are complimentary with little caloric value. Food cost are largely stable despite price swings because of government intervention. Without it the swings would be much more violent up and down and you would see more disruption in prices, which is what happens everywhere in the world but the United States who damm near eats for free compared to everyone else. | |
