I say don’t produce for a market that doesn’t exist. Much easier than trying to create new markets. We have the same oversupply situation in ethanol and nobody wants to back off. Who would order 10-15 percent more chemicals than they need for the acres they farm? If the need isn’t there, don’t order them. Planted acres is no different. What idea do you have for a new product to use up the excess supply? Pretty foolish in the first place to rely on another country to do our dirty work for us, imho of course.
When the crop is planted we have no clue if we are going to over produce. We have bo clue if our best customer is going to buy like they did prior to ‘18. You make it sound to easy. |
