| I’ve been involved with seed sales for almost 10 years now first through retail and now have a farmer dealership. In my experience there is definitely not that much money in selling seed, unless it’s an accelerated income for him the first couple of years of his dealership to help get him started. Seed sales can be very hard business. There are days where I
ask myself if it’s worth the stress. There are nights in the fall I hardly sleep worrying about my customers corn falling over or any sort of failure. And trying to sell is definitely not easy there are days I drive around trying to sell in the fall and don’t sell a bag and feel like you wasted the day. All the while having people hide from you and ignore your calls and texts.
But at the same time I find it very rewarding as my goal is to help each farmer I work with more profitable and more successful by using my agronomic background to help them raise more bushels. | |
