Calves should be 4 weeks old minimum age to have an adequate immune response to respiratory vaccines. What I have done when I have a group that needs to be worked and some are too young is to put different colored ear tags in the calves so that it is easy to visually sort and work the ones that need it when they are old enough.
How old do new born calves have to be to get there shots?
