| Most likely the hardware flow control is on. Manual says ON is default:

You have to get it OFF.
After that You might also want to try both DTE and DCE options, if it is still not working.
If you turn on NMEA output on Ez-Guide COM port you should start getting meaningfull info to Lefebure client's info boxes as soon as a connection is established.
Make this working first. Then go to play with different streams...
