Per the john deere instructions for an 8410 you do not have to take the whole cap off the valve stack, you simply remove the plug in the LS port, drop in disk, insert short stem on top of that and then install fitting that goes to LS hose that goes to hydac valve. That is what I have done.


You do not take the cap off. The problem I mentioned with my 8120 in the earlier reply was that the wrong plug was removed due to confusion as to which port the cast LS letters were referring to. The 8310 was similar but not identical.
