West Middletown | I just finished fixing my ditches that formed over the last five (5) years on 110 acres of no-till.
At planting time in 2015, farm was worked ground every couple of years for decades and fields were smooth as silk.
Anyway, tried to fill and pack ditches on my own with a backhoe to the original grade several times. It didn't work.
As others have said, widening and creating a 8-10' wide flat bottom seems best. Hired a neighbor who has been operating a dozer's for the last 45 years. Best money I have ever spent on getting farm work done. He took care of the whole farm in a couple days.
If you can find or know an operator with farm experience, pay them for a day and see if you like their work.
