I had a top load that was getting old and replaced it with a front load that was given to us, a neighbor had dryer go bad and wanted to replace set, so we got a free washer. I like the top load better, I am 6' tall and my son is 6'5", my daughter who is 5'3" likes the front load much better as she has a hard time reaching into bottom of top load.
