I'm trying to load the original Garmin 18usb n-route cd to a laptop which does not have a cd drive - I've used a backpac before but it will not read this cd for some reason.  I enabled sharing the cd drive on this desktop but it will not appear on any of the network computers; the hard drives are available on the network, but not the cd drive.  Is there a setting I'm missing, or does the network computer need the proper drivers, or ???

I probably could copy the files to a thumb drive and then install from there but I would rather go the cd route.
