I would agree with that assumption. I know, for Kinze blades, which are new at 15" and considered worn out at 14.5", that wear is not linear. If wear was linear, then 14.75" blades would be 1/2 worn. Gauging by useful service life, when they have lost half the dimension, they are more like 2/3 word. The last 1/4" wears twice as fast as the first 1/4". It stands to reason that trend would continue, but I still think to wear a full 1/2" in a season the planter would have to be pulled over many, many acres.
