A corn and bean planter will wear 1/2” in a season.
Wear will be proportional to the acres you pull it over, but in my experience it takes 500 to a 1000 acres PER ROW to wear from 15" down to 14.5". My last set of blades ran 6000 acres on a 12 row (500 acres/row), and that's strictly no-till. They were not yet worn a 1/2" from new when replaced for bearing concerns. |
