NW KS/ SC ID
IMO loader tractor with a cab and a 3pt blower. when its a light snow, just use the loader, and enjoy the traction the blower on the 3pt gives you.

When its nasty out, turn around and use the blower. If you get stuck, might be able to get out by curling the bucket.

I have never been overly impressed with the traction and offroad ability of a wheeled skid steer. plus it destroys any surface that isnt concrete, so the nicely graded gravel driveway and the grass will get tore up quite nicely.

Plus, if you ever have to work on it, usually the most skilled dealer mechanics flex their seniority to get out of skid steer repairs, so you got some greenhorn doing it, or worse yet, you have to work on it yourself...

Also, from a safety standpoint, a good ROPS equipped tractor is safer than a skid steer. seems like those things are always getting dumped over. No risk of exiting operators platform with boom in the air, etc. If moving a piece of equipment around with a tongue, no safety risk with a cab tractor, with a skiddy, tongue could pop up and turn you into a kabob.

Skid steers are fun to run, and are a necessity in a livestock operation, but IMO there are safer and cheaper alternatives out there that dont tear up the yard.
