Subject: RE: if you were a rural homeowner..not a farmer

I was in a similar situation when we moved to an acreage. Needed something to push snow and mow a couple acres. It was either get an older tractor and mower or a small utility tractor with all the attachments. Ended up with ‘72 4320 (with cab) and zero turn and very happy. A small utility tractor wouldn’t handle some of the drifts we get and I think the belly mower would take forever to mow. Plus I got a box scraper to keep the lane in shape during the summer and use the tractor to spray pasture. Skidder is definitely better when doing a lot of dirt work but I’ve just rented one for those big jobs which aren’t very often.
