...find an old IH Hydro 186 that the hydro isn't shot in...put a loader on the front...and the blower on the back. You will clear that lane faster with that than anything else besides a dedicated snowplow on a truck...and put the snow where it should be...out in the field. I can't imagine using an open station skidloader before work in the morning. I would be froze to death with the kind of cold they get in Northern Iowa.


+1 on an old IH big frame hydro, but ones in good shape are $$ and hard to find. Or a Maxxum with a 5.9 cummins like T9040 suggested above. Could go green like a 4440 or such, has wet clutch. But for any of the aforementioned things with a loader and blower you will be pretty easy $30k +. My opinion stay away from oddball cheap stuff. I like my F350 pickup with dana 60 straight axle with a v-plow, but for a long drifted driveway you have to be careful as to how you ridge the snow, you can easily make a bad situation worse after it blows back in again.
