Yes in that scenario you would eat the inversion to roll. I rarely have done this but I was that bearish beans last year. Actually the way it played out I lifted the hedged too early somewhat based on your question. If I had hedged in 19 I actually might have kept the hedge on longer which would have netted more but hindsight is always 20/20(well for most people, sometimes it is still fuzzy for me).
