Old 4.3 is good. New 4.3, I dont know. Still drive an '02 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd some, been a reliable vehicle. Last 70k miles I have replaced one fuel pump, two front wheel bearings, and the lower intake manifold gaskets. Id guess $500 in parts, plus my labor, in those miles. Local mpg is maybe 13-14, highway about 20 at best.
