I really like your setup.

I really think a shop is sometime in my near future (next two years). Trying to imagine how high it needs to be to enable me to do what you have done to any piece of equipment. For example, what if there is a combine engine to pull where it's a lot easier (take fewer shields off, etc) if you just pull the engine straight up out of the combine and go over the sides? Combine is probably 12' tall I suppose. Engine is probably 3' tall if you're including the oil pan and head and so on. Maybe even 4'? Then the chain that connects two points on the engine to act as a sling would add 6" to a foot? Then the hoist and trolley setup is probably another foot? Then the i-beam plus the clearance to the ceiling is probably 1'? Almost sounds like a guy would want 20' sidewalls for the greatest flexibility?

Is 2 tons enough for large displacement engines?
