I have a home made that takes a lot of room in my shop that I use very little. I also have a 3 wheeled electric fork lift with tilt and side shift that is used a lot and will do anything that my gantry will plus a lot of other uses. It serves as a variable ht work bench with a piece of plywood on forks a variable hr welding table with a piece of steel. I have a heavy vise that i clamp on a fork and can take off by tapping with a hammer or put back on by tapping with a hammer. I have a set of bending forks I can use on it. You can put a lawn mower on the forks a raise it to I level and change blades. You can back a empty trailor up to the door and lift it up and change tires. You can take it outside the shop if the ground is not soft With 2 people around you can pick up a cage and change light bulbs A stand up one would be handier at some times. A picker fork lift would be nice for putting pallets on racks. and working in high places.
