As far as shorting ourselves on the freight--------- depends on the factors you want to consider.  Since the labor would have been paid anyway, the overhead costs on the semi were paid anyway, the truck would have merely sat idle for that period...…...my incremental out-of-pocket costs were/are fuel, and what little oil would have been used/consumed.
