Near-north Ontario, French River
Rank,,, who do you deal with? organic beans? Buyer here, as long as you make grade, which ISN'T hard to do, pays for the whole load, there is no deductions for clean out etc, just standard grading dockage ... Biggest issue guys have here is dirt tagging, if guys would wait an extra hour in the morning before firing up, and quit when the dew comes in the evening they could easily eliminate dirt tag. Start running when beans get around 14-14.5% and quit if they drop below 12 or so and there wont be any storage issues or cracking issues... just common sense stuff. RuP beans used to have a slight advantage over food grade beans solely because of the savings in weed control but with RuP resistant weeds becoming an issue that advantage has gone away.. unless you have terribly weedy fields there is no need to own a cleaner to clean the beans either...
