Here in Wilson county, 85 mi. east of Wichita on 400 highway I would guess we didnt get 10 % of the usual acres planted. That is probably close to what most of south eastern KS. got planted. We usually plant around 1350 acres. This year we got 0 acres planted. We only had maybe 2 or 3 days after Thankgiving that we could have gotten any in . By that time we had already elected to take the prevented planting option. The guaranteed payment was so good it would have been stupid to plant anything that late. All we have to do is plant it to full season soybeans this spring which will work out great for us. This is first time since 1986 we havent planted wheat.
