Here's where I'm at so far when dealing with seed companies in terms of knowing product:
1. Give me Variety ID numbers up front for each product before I even consider looking further.
2. If you don't, then the deal is dead. Will talk when person selling seed can send me ID numbers...really want to know what I'm buying before hand.
3. If they come back months down the road with ID numbers, they should honor their prices offered at the time when they didn't want to share their ID numbers.
4. Some companies are starting to get this and printing ID numbers on their 'Tech/Sell Sheets' - I LOVE THIS
Other option you could do is to ask if you can buy a bag of seed for every variety they sell, take a picture of seed tag with Variety ID, and return the seed bag in MINT condition. Most places should give a hassle free return, others might have a 'restocking' fee. |
