EC WI
Get rid of the box spreader and get a vertical spread or slinger first off to increase spread pattern evenness. This saves a ton of headaches.
Now you have the right no-till planter unit with whips, so down pressure would be the next item to address.
The way we ran no-till with manure in the hills the last 30 years starts with the spreader! Plant right through it, sometimes before planting have to take a cultimulcher to tear apart some overspread spots from the winter. Trust me if you manage your fertility, you may just see an uptick in yield, we did, and will never go back. Planter and trash whipper settings become more important, plant early, plant 2.25 " deep and save some soil along the way.
