North Central Illinois | Buy something new enough to have air bags and other such modern safety features. Just make sure it's something cheap enough to self insure the vehicle itself. Mom and dad paid for insurance on my first vehicle, but they bought liability coverage only and it was clear that if I damaged it in an accident, repairing or replacing it was my affair. Liability coverage for a new driver still isn't cheap, but not nearly as much as full coverage. | |
