WCIL
We have run 1250s for several years now. Didn't want them at first but they came on a used combine. We ended up liking them and have stayed with them. In wetter conditions we seem to stay on top better as opposed to the duals we used to run, but also think the flotation is better for compaction in normal conditions. Disadvantages are you need stalk stompers to prevent damage, and overnight sitting with a load will make them flat on the bottom until you run them a little, causing a bouncy ride for a little bit. Seem to ride good after that. We went from 4wd and duals to 2wd and floaters and get along fine in mostly riverbotttom soils. Have never been stuck, but use our heads too. Most duals around here now are the fatter ones that almost touch at the bulge. Have considered those too. I really think you can't go wrong any way you go.
