You can try but I think them fil-rite pumps are just plain over rated in my opinion, about the only way to get 35 GPM thru one is if the fuel level about 15' higher than the pump, and then you better not have filter or even a hose on it, and god help you if you have an auto shut-off nozzle on the end (that will slow it down some more) so basically to get 35 GPM you need to have it mounted on a tank with lots of head pressure and then shoot it out into a pail that you in turn dump into a tractor if you do all this you might get the rated 35 GPM out of it, yes I am being a little sarcastic about it but that is probably how they actually rate them.
