Add a second filter and housing in parallel. That would give you 40. Maybe.

I'm with Indy in that 2 micron is awful tight to be trying to shove that much through, and that 35 is probably a dream.

I'd bet that you would need to go immediately to the next size up outlet piping and add at least two filter housings (in parallel), then back to the larger size hose to get close to the "rated" capacity. If it's 1", everything on the output would need to be 1-1/2". 3/4, i bet you would need 1" or 1-1/4" outlet piping.

I bet that 35gpm is with zero restriction on the outlet as most water pumps are rated in a similar way, not with restrictive outlet hoses. That adds to the loss I'm sure. Also I bet that it also depends on the product being pumped and the temperature. Cold diesel will never pump as fast as warm summer gasoline.
