Yes true, and a few notill guys that are trying to keep it that way. But we know a few I'm referring to. They are always running this time of year and have picked acres for 19. Its painful to watch a class 7 combine only do 40 to 60 acres a day. I guess with livestock, tile, custom manure and strip till to do in the fall I prefer to be done by Nov. 1



Not everyone is up to your level. Some of us put our pants on one leg at a time still.


Tomcat, I'm with you on this one. There's a fellow that farms a piece next to me who has been running corn the last few days. I hear gossip about how bad of a farmer he is, because this timing isn't unusual timing. He's done this for as far back as I can remember and keeps planting a crop every spring, so something must be working.


As long as you beat the deer and the snow that’s my benchmark. This year beating the snow isn’t very hard. We are usually towards the back of the pack to finish but seem to be plugging forward just fine. Hard to unload on the go if your a two man show and sometimes less frustrating to not bring more folks. Dobson definitely displays a arrogance with his posts.
