NCKS | Yes and no... I get what you are saying, but when I figure, I have separate lines to pay off equipment vs the cost to run that equipment over the ground. The first could be close to zero unless you have to expand your equipment line. The second never changes, you have to rebuild your planter/combine/draper sooner and put fuel and tires in the tractors and semis. A flat, square quarter will only add 10 hours a year to your tractor/sprayer lineup. hardly enough to make a difference..... But..... as you expand you eventually have to buy more equipment, so I'm not saying it's sustainable to solely expand on high dollar rent....
