NC Iowa | How far Northeast? I'm just West of I-35 and South of Hwy 3 about 8 miles. I farm with my dad in Pocahontas County. He's 76 and has seen his fair share of ups and downs. He asked me the other day what I thought rent should be to make some good money. I said $200. A neighbor is paying $260 on some new ground and he says that's too much. Dad was offered a couple hundred acres of ground a few years back but the guy wanted $250 then. Dad said no.
I crop share 200 acres 50/50 and in my opinion, I couldn't ask for a better deal.
I suppose NW Iowa is the same in Sioux County. | |
