By the way, what was the warning that the Chairman of GM gave in her letter to the administration back in July and the reason for the closing of four US auto factories with the loss of some 15,000 jobs in Nov.?
"The increased cost of steel and other imported components will lead/led directly to job losses."
You always have to be aware of the collateral damage. I bet I know 15,000 auto workers and their families who aren't going to vote Republican in Ohio next election.
And Nissan, Toyota, and Honda keep rolling out cars and pickups built in America with as many American made parts as GM without bailouts and no interest loans.
I bet I can name three piss poor run American auto makers. | |
