Central Illinois | I was told to buy the Stihl premixed gas and use it in all the saws, trimmers and leaf blowers. So I did. Big mistake for the chainsaw (not a Stihl). The saw is old and had only had gas with ethanol that I had mixed. I filled the saw with Stihl premix, ad after running the saw for a few minutes, the stihl premix caused it to quit running. The moral of the story, use what you have used in the past. Changing without a clean out will cause problems. By the way, after draining the premix by stihl, I put what I mixed into the saw. It's been running ever since with ethanol. | |
