80lb prime hair lambs were bringing 2.10-2.16 in San Angelo just before Xmas. Will be same story at Easter. No backgrounding or feed yard. Just wean them at 50 lb and 60-70 days on good pasture
Hair ewes run around $150 at the auction with a residual value of maybe $85 as a cull few years later.. That’s a nice ROI if you are willing to care for them.
